“I can take the skills test before I’m 16? What?! Tell me how!”
You can take your Skills Test before you turn 16 if you meet the following qualifications:
You’re over 15 ½ years old
You’ve completed driver’s ed
You’ve logged 50 hours driving practice (10 at night)
You’ve had your permit for 6 months
You’ve passed your Knowledge Test
By testing ahead of time, you get it out of the way and can get your license from the DOL as soon as your 16th birthday!
